The Friends and Family Test (FFT) is an important feedback tool that supports the fundamental principle that people who use NHS services should have the opportunity to provide feedback on their experience. Listening to the views of patients and staff helps identify what is working well, what can be improved and how.

We collect your friends and family responses via AskMyGP.  You can also submit your responses by using the QR code opposite.  This is also displayed in the practice waiting room.

 

 In March 2024, we received 51 responses.  84% said that the service received had been good or very good. 

 In February 2024, we received 57 responses.  86% said that the service received had been good or very good.

 In January 2024, we received 64 responses. 83% said that the service received had been good or very good.

 

We do read through all of your comments.  On behalf of the staff, thank you so much for taking the time to praise our wonderful staff for their hard work and care, and for giving us feedback in order to make improvements to the service, where needed. Many of you have commented on how impressed you are with the speed of our responses to you and the compassion shown by our staff in all staff groups.  We work very hard to try to deal with your requests as quickly as possible.  A small number of patients have been disappointed that their requests have been closed without an obvious reason.  In most cases, this has been because a clinician has tried to call several times with no response.   This has been discussed with the staff and they have been reminded to also send a message via AskMyGP to explain that there has been no response when we have tried to call and for you to get back in touch should you still need assistance.  In a couple of cases, the request had been completed by us in error and apologies have been offered for this. A small number of patients have also felt disappointed to have not seen or spoken to a doctor because they have been signposted to another service.  We are now very fortunate to have many other services and organisations, besides the GP Practice, who are professionally trained to help patients with a multitude of different problems.  New services are being introduced all the time. We are keen for our patients to be seen by the most appropriate professional for their problem at any given time.  By ensuring that we do this, it means our clinical staff have more time to deal with those patients who specifically need the services of the GP Practice.  If we feel that your specific request can be better dealt with by another service, we will let you know.  There have been a few patients who have not been happy when we have refused to complete requests that fall outside of the NHS contract.  We only deal with a few non-NHS items now, outside of core contract hours, as we strive to prioritise our NHS service above all else.  Where we are able to signpost these requests to another provider/service to help you, we will do so.

    If you have a request which is urgent after 5pm, please telephone the surgery.  Otherwise, please submit your request on the next working day via AskMyGP when the service is open - thank you.

  • We aim to respond the same day -  Please be aware that we will try to call you back twice and if you do not answer the second call, we will close the request and you will need to re-submit.

  • If you need to request a repeat prescription, please always use SystmOnline/Airmid / NHS App for this instead as you can access this 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please allow 72 hours for the processing of repeat prescriptions.

Welcome to Brant Road and Springcliffe Surgery

The Brant Road Surgery has been established for over 20 years and during that time has carried out constant modernisation and expansion. In 2008 we became partners in the Springcliffe surgery where we continued with modernisation as well as expanding services to patients registered there. On 1st of April 2018 we were granted permission to merge the surgery contracts to become one practice thus enabling us to offer better services and better access to all our patients across both surgeries. Patients may choose to be seen at either surgery to suit their needs. In 2023 we became a GP training practice.

We are confident that our website will provide clear and concise help and give our patients the information they require in an easy and convenient format. It has been designed with the patient’s needs at the forefront of everything.

Serving You

Our dedicated team are here to treat those minor ailments that occur as well as providing specialist management of long-term conditions and clinics covering a wide range of healthcare issues. The technology also means you can now do a lot of things from the comfort of your home such as order a repeat prescription or cancel an appointment.

Partners in Care

Once registered, patients and healthcare professionals work together to ensure the most appropriate care is provided. This partnership philosophy extends even further and our active patient group exists to make sure that patient needs and the practice offering are always heading in the same direction.

Access

Our Brant Road surgery offers excellent access for the disabled and elderly and the surgery has a large car park.

  • There is good access to all of our consultation rooms.
  • We have two designated parking bays which are adjacent to the surgery entrance.
  • The surgery has a ramp and wide automatic doors to allow for wheelchair access.
  • There are also grab rails in the ladies/disabled toilet.
  • We have a disabled friendly reception area.

At our Springcliffe surgery

Our premises have suitable access for disabled patients. Our disabled facilities include:

  • Disabled access to the building is via the Fire exit at the side of the building (Reception will open on request) and special toilet facilities.
  • We have hydraulic couches in the treatment rooms to provide comfortable examination facilities for the elderly or disabled
  • There are comfortable easy sitting/ standing chairs in the waiting room for the infirm and elderly.

Please note: Unfortunately we are not able to offer patient parking at the Springcliffe Surgery site, parking is for staff only due to the limited space available. However, disabled drop off and collection is permitted at the front of the building.

South Lincoln Healthcare Federation

Brant Road and Springcliffe Surgery is a member practice of South Lincoln Healthcare Federation.  The Federation is a collaboration of seven GP Practices working together to strengthen and stabilise general practice.  By coming together as a federation, we are able to maintain the individuality of our own practice whilst supporting one another and improving efficiency.
